🏅 Bucks County Man’s Bravery Recognized

A Bucks County man who rescued a flight instructor from a burning plane wreck will be honored for his heroism with a Carnegie Medal. The Carnegie Medal is awarded to “civilians who risk death or serious physical injury to an extraordinary degree saving or attempting to save the lives of others.”
Ronald Diehl Jr., a carpenter from Quakertown, witnessed a single-engine plane crash in Salisbury Township in Sept. 2022. He ran to the wreckage and pulled Philip McPherson out of the blaze as the plane exploded. McPherson survived with burns and Diehl was unharmed. The flight student, Keith Kozel of Easton, died in the accident.
A partial engine power loss was identified as the cause of the crash. McPherson now faces involuntary manslaughter charges, as he had previously surrendered his pilot’s license due to two previous crashes.
🏴☠️ Porch Pirate Caught In Warrington
An alleged mail and package thief was arrested and charged with a slew of felonies.
Christopher Michael Scott, 40, of Warrington turned himself in and was hit with 28 counts, including 22 felonies. He is accused of identity and package theft as well as misdemeanor drug charges. He is accused of repeatedly thefts at the Westminster Apartments on Valley Road.
🚬 Local Businesses Cited For Underage Nicotine Sales
Central Bucks Regional Police issued a handful of citations to local business owners and cashiers, alleging the establishments sold nicotine products to underage buyers. Citations were issued on Nov. 1 to the following Doylestown businesses:
Exxon on North Main Street
Country Food Market on West State Street
Smoke Shack on West State Street
7-Eleven on East Street
The Chal-Brit Beverages on East Butler Avenue in Chalfont and the Shell on West Butler Avenue in New Britain were also cited.

🚨 Serial Shoplifter Charged Again
A Horsham woman with four prior retail theft convictions faces a new felony count after allegedly stealing over $150 in goods over several incidents at the Warrington Target. Cops in Warrington also arrested a New Jersey man on felony charges after he allegedly stole roughly $2,500 in circuit breakers and heaters from the Lowe’s in town.

Meet Periwinkle, a five- to nine-year-old pitbull looking for a forever home through Home At Last Dog Rescue. She is being fostered in the area after making her way up from South Carolina. Periwinkle is a happy girl who loves to meet new people. She is very sweet and loves to cuddle; Periwinkle is crate- and house-trained and great with older kids and other animals her own size. A fenced-in yard would be a great benefit in a new home, although not a requirement.
