๐ Two Dead In Car Accident, Fire
A Tesla's driver and passenger died after their car crashed into another Tesla as it was charging, sparking a fire last Friday in the Pipersville section of Bedminster.
Cops said the manned car left the roadway for an unknown reason and careened into the electric vehicle as it charged outside an Easton Road business. One of the cars then crashed into the building, causing damage. The building and nearby trees were then ignited and the driver and passenger succumbed to injuries suffered in the crash.

There are significant developments regarding a pair of empty Doylestown commercial properties in limbo.
A plan to demolish an old borough hall on West Court Street and build a boutique hotel may come to fruition. Attorneys representing the property owner and nearby residents have reportedly struck a deal pending municipal approval. The agreement came after the hotel's proposed event space had its capacity reduced to 100 guests (it had zoning approval for 120). The project's planned 32 guest rooms and 70-person restaurant remain on the books, and other issues, such as parking spaces, still need to be ironed out.
The future of a crumbing West State Street building will be discussed in district court next month. The property once held two restaurants but has been vacant since the pandemic and is deteriorating, with debris falling onto the sidewalk. The borough has cited the property's owner but he insists he has not committed any violations. He could face close to $100,000 in fines.

โน๏ธ Central Bucks Schools End Athletics Policy
The Central Bucks School Board retired a policy segregating athletics teams on the basis of sex.
The policy was established in Nov. 2023 and suspended roughly a month later, so the 8-1 vote to end it was a formality. Superintendent Dr. Steven Yanni said the policy, designed to address transgender athletes competing in girl's sports, conflicted with state and federal discrimination laws and PIAA bylaws.
The Central Bucks School District announced it will conduct high school graduation next year on Wednesday, June 11 to avoid holding commencement ceremonies on that Friday, the official last day of school.
CBSD will also launch six "pioneer" full-day kindergartens at the Cold Spring, Doyle, Groveland, Jamison, Kutz, and Mill Creek elementary schools next year. The district plans to eventually offer the program at all 15 elementary schools.
