🍺 Hearing set for intracounty liquor license deal

Google StreetView
New Britain’s borough council will weigh whether to allow an eatery to transfer in a liquor license from a nearby town.
HG Coal Fired Pizza is opening a new location on East Butler Avenue in the building formerly occupied by Forlano’s Italian Restaurant. It is attempting to transfer a liquor license currently held by Buck’s Bagels in Warminster.
The borough will hold a hearing on the matter next month; council members then have 45 days to vote yay or nay. A no vote would prompt the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to block the transfer. But Michael Peters, the borough’s solicitor, signaled there is no basis for the transfer to be voted down.
