🐶 Search for alleged would-be puppy thief

Perkasie Police are working to identify a man who attempted to steal a puppy from a young girl earlier in April.
Cops said the incident occurred on North 7th Street on April 9 around noon; the man allegedly tried to take the dog while the girl was walking the puppy.
A resident has provided a photo of the suspicious individual and his vehicle. Police said the suspect was described as an older man with gray hair, a brown jacket and brown boots. He was driving a newer black SUV; cops think it may have been a Jeep Cherokee. They also believe an older female passenger may have been in the car.
Residents are asked to contact Perkasie Police at 215-257-6876 with any information on the individual.

🖥️ A sobering statistic
Bucks County leads Pennsylvania’s 67 counties in arrests and prosecutions related to internet crimes against children, according to the county’s top prosecutor.
District Attorney Jennifer Schorn said her office has dedicated significant resources to its Crimes Against Children Task Force in partnership with municipal police departments, leading to more arrests by local cops and the Bucks County Detectives, who operate under her oversight. Schorn said the current situation is “literally like drinking from a fire hose because of the number of cases we are seeing as far as online exploitation.”

🚨 Wild story in Montco
Talk about a party foul.
A Hatboro woman — and U.S. Marine — allegedly fired a gun in Montgomery Township after being told her she was too drunk to drive home with her kid after a children’s birthday celebration.
Kaylee Sarah Douglas, also known as Kaylee Muntz, was charged with aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of children, terroristic threats, possession of a weapon and recklessly endangering another person. The 25-year-old is accused of firing a Glock twice around 11:50 p.m. last Saturday.
Witnesses said she arrived at a McKean Court residence after the kid's party ended and became intoxicated to the point she urinated and vomited on herself. She then tried to leave with her three-year-old child and was told she could either call an Uber or sleep over. Douglas then allegedly tried to leave a second time and was stopped before pointing her gun at several people before firing it. No one was injured in the incident and Douglas complied with police once they arrived on the scene.

🐶 Rescue Dog of the Week

James Short | Central Bucks Now
Meet Rose, a three-year-old Bernese mountain dog being fostered through Home At Last Dog Rescue.
Rose was rescued from a puppy mill in Lancaster. She is a very sweet girl who loves to snuggle and flood you with affection and love. Rose is crate- and house-trained; she does take some time to warm up to new people, but once she does she will love you for life. Rose enjoys being home and would do best in a family with another dog; she would be fine with someone who works.
If you are interested in adopting Rose or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the group's website.
