🛒 Philly man accused of huge spice theft
That’s a lot of stolen turmeric.
A Philadelphia man working for Instacart allegedly shoplifted over $1,000 worth of the spice from the Costco in Warminster Township.
Cops say 22-year-old Sukhrob Salaydin Ochilov, aka Ochlov Surror, entered the warehouse, purchased a cart full of goods and then left the cart by an empty register. He then re-entered the retail area and walked to the pharmacy.
Costco asset protection officials realized two turmeric boxes were missing from the pharmacy. The missing boxes were then found empty in another aisle next to a box of bagel bites that had the turmeric stuffed inside it. Ochilov was then observed going to the aisle, taking the hidden turmeric and attempting to conceal it before he was intercepted by store officials.

Six area fire companies quickly put out a blaze at the building that houses the Doylestown Historical Society, minimizing damage to the 19th-century building on South Main Street.
A cause has not yet been determined. Crews arrived within a minute of the fire alarm going off. Most of the society’s artifacts and treasures were in another section of the building and were unharmed. Restoration plans are being developed.
🚨 Big shoplifting bust in New Britain
An Allentown man allegedly tried to steal close to $1,000 in goods from the CVS in New Britain.
Police responded to a call for a suspicious person and found Angel Jose Irizarry, 25, placing items on the shelf in an aisle. The goods were not the same as those present in the aisle. Irizarry then became combative, cops said, and alleged racial profiling. Police observed a text thread on his phone with a message that read, "Hurry up."
A cart with over $900 in goods was found next to Irizarry; cops said he attempted to leave the store with it before they arrived on the scene.

🐶 Rescue Dog of the Week

James Short | Central Bucks Now
Meet Jovie, a six-year-old bulldog being fostered through Home At Last Dog Rescue.
Jovie was saved from a puppy mill in Lancaster. She is affectionate and cheerful and has a silly, fun-loving personality. Jovie is crate-trained and almost completely house-trained; she gets along with other dogs and is great with kids. She would do well with most families, but a house without a lot of staircases would be preferable.
If you are interested in adopting Jovie or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the group's website.
