🙋‍♂️ A Chance To Serve In Perkasie

James Short | Central Bucks Now

The Perkasie Borough Council needs a new member.

Residents of the borough’s third ward are invited to apply for an immediate appointment to fill a council vacancy and serve through the end of 2025. The application deadline is Monday, Jan. 6 at noon. Forms can be picked up at Borough Hall or found online.

Applicant interviews will be done in public during a council meeting that evening. The new member is expected to be appointed by Jan. 20; the appointee will then be able to run in this fall's election to serve the final two years of the seat’s term.

Also: Perkasie police are working to identify the owners of two trucks tied to a vandalism incident in the borough.

🚔 Trespassing Charge Withdrawn In Warrington

A Warrington man had a criminal trespassing charge withdrawn and a disorderly conduct charge moved to non-traffic court after an incident at an elementary school in town.

The man was accused of refusing to leave a farmer’s market held at John Barclay Elementary School in September. The school’s principal told cops the man arrived at the invite-only event and demanded to know if it was “feeding all of these illegals.” He then became aggressive when asked to leave and tried to force his way into the school while accusing the school off feeding pallets of food to all the illegals.”

🐶 Rescue Dog of the Week

James Short | Central Bucks Now

Meet Teddy, a 10-year-old Boston Terrier being fostered through Home At Last Dog Rescue.

Teddy is looking for a new home after his owner was unable to care for him; he was initially rescued from a Lancaster puppy mill. He is likes walks, but prefers to dictate where he goes. He is independent, crate- and house trained and while he likes other pets on his own terms, he would be best off as the only pet in his new home.

If you are interested in adopting Teddy or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the group's website.
